Kate is a multimedia journalist, with a strong background in editing, video production, sports and news.

Born and raised in San Francisco, she spent 10 years on the East Coast before heading back to the Golden State to pursue a graduate degree in Journalism.

Since returning to California, Kate has worked as a reporter for the Rivals sites USCfootball.com and Bruin Sports Report. At USC, she was Senior Sports Editor for the website Neon Tommy, hosted a Los Angeles focused sports roundtable show on TrojanVision and worked as a reporter and anchor for Annenberg TV News.

Kate holds a B.F.A. in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory of Music, and a M.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California. She’s still looking for a way to incorporate singing and tap dancing into her everyday reporting--suggestions are welcome.

Kate’s journalism career started back in junior high as editor of Marina Middle School’s esteemed Penguin Press, where she specialized in reviews of Counting Crows albums and Disney movies.
